Qualifications

• Education: CDA (Preschool/Infant-Toddler) or ECE certificate or equivalent to Step 8+ on Oregon Registry.
• Experience: 1+ year teaching in a licensed child care center or similar setting with children ages 0–5.
• Background checks and Oregon Central Background Registry checks required before hire.
• Fit for Duty and TB testing per Head Start regulations before start date.
• Requires a valid Oregon driver's license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Set up indoor/outdoor environment for daily activities.
• Use or develop lesson plans with the teaching team as needed.
• Follow care routines for children ages 0–3.
• Observe and document child behaviors to guide growth.
• Foster parental involvement in the classroom.
• Assist with meal service as needed.
