The Y of Central Maryland is seeking a Substitute Teacher for Head Start to partner with the classroom teacher and ensure smooth daily operations across multiple Head Start locations. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing environment for young children and support their health, welfare and development.

The role emphasizes communication with children, families and staff, requiring patience, enthusiasm and good judgment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of early childhood experience
• Ability to clearly communicate with children, parents/guardians, members and staff
• 90 Hour Child Care Certificate or AA in Early Childhood Education required or preferred

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to ensure successful operation of the classroom
• Maintain health, welfare and safety of children in the program
