Job summary

Acelero Learning Camden Philadelphia is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to cover Head Start classrooms for ages 3 to 4. You’ll work with one co-teacher to support 14–20 children, stepping in as needed across locations in the county starting Fall 2026.

You will follow the curriculum, foster early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development, maintain safety, engage families, and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Follows the curriculum as scheduled during coverage and supports literacy, numeracy, and readiness.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment with proper supervision and ratio.
• Collaborates effectively with the co-teacher to run the classroom.
• Engages families and supports relationships between children and families.
• Adheres to health, safety, nutrition and center policies; follows schedule and communicates changes.
