Acelero Learning Camden Philadelphia is hiring a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a Head Start classroom for 3- to 5-year-old children. You will assist teaching staff, implement a child-centered curriculum, and collaborate with families and staff to promote development in all domains.

Qualifications include a CDA credential or current coursework in Early Childhood Education, CPR/First Aid certification or within the first year, and successful completion of background checks.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required or must obtain within first year.
• Physical exam and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Implements a child-centered curriculum and learning environment.
• Supports social and emotional development of children.
• Addresses challenging behaviors with preventive strategies and family partnerships.
• Gathers and maintains data for documentation and planning.
• Fosters family involvement and coordination with Family Advocates.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment and conducts health checks.
• Participates in meetings, events, and training.

Education

CDA credential

Enrollment in ECE coursework within 1 year

Degree in Early Childhood Education with 9+ ECE credits

Enrollment to complete degree within 1 year of hire
