Job summary

Keystone Human Services is seeking Substitutes for the Capital Area Head Start, providing a quality child development program. Substitutes will support classroom staff, ensuring the safety of children aged 3-5, while assisting with lesson plans.

This casual position offers $15.68 per hour, with hours between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. The role requires a high school diploma and basic computer skills, with opportunities for career development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Complete criminal, child abuse, and FBI clearances.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.

Position Details

$15.68 per hour Casual/Per Diem, Non Exempt position Schedule: Hours between 7:30AM and 4:30PM based on center Positions available in Dauphin and Cumberland counties

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web based systems
• Ability to travel to home visits, training, and other locations
• Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Preschool CDA or Associate’s degree in early childhood education
• Experience working with young children
• Participation in Head Start or Early Head Start
• Bi/multi-lingual
