Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) seeks a Head Start Supervisor of Special Services to lead the program’s screening, special education and behavioral support services. This 260-day, full-time role operates under the Division of Student Services, ensuring compliance with Head Start standards and coordinating with ABA Clinics and Preschool Special Education teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Services, Human Resources, or a closely related field required.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of operating grants strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise screening, special education, and behavioral supports in Head Start.
• Develop relationships with families and guide referral/evaluation process.
• Train and supervise staff to implement specially designed instruction.
• Oversee behavior management protocols.
• Coordinate with Behavior Consultant for rapid response.
• Contribute to budget, grants, and partnerships.
