Job summary

United Counseling Service (UCS) seeks a Teacher – Site Coordinator for Bennington County Head Start. You will develop and implement curriculum, communicate with children, parents, and staff, and provide preschool educational opportunities under the Education Manager.

Daily operations of a Head Start site will be managed. Under supervision, you will supervise classroom staff, coordinate family events, monitor records and health/safety compliance, and collaborate with specialists to meet each

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Vermont AOE Teacher License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit articles for monthly newsletter to parents.
• Ensure safe, positive environment for families and staff.
• Supervise classroom staff including assistants and volunteers.
• Collaborate with managers and consultants to deliver services.
• Maintain complete records for each child enrolled as required by regulations.
• Ensure safety and upkeep of site facilities and equipment.
• Encourage family involvement and coordinate events.
• Lead health and safety drills and maintain required documentation.
