Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a Program Aide to support classroom, kitchen, and bus activities in Head Start/EHS settings. The role involves assisting with materials, meals, and family events, with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and culturally responsive practices.

The position is entry-level, requiring a HS/GED, and mandates completing required trainings within specified timelines. A bilingual background is preferred, with opportunities to grow within the LSF system.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of 45 hours Florida Child Care Facility Training within 12 months of hire.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of Level II background screening, local criminal record check, health, TB and drug screening prior to hiring.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or other local languages).

Responsabilidades

• Assist classroom staff with activities, field trips, and outdoor activities as outlined in lesson plans.
• Help develop materials and activities reflecting the cultural backgrounds of children and families served.
• Supervise at mealtimes and encourage good nutrition and social skills.
• Keep the classroom clean and orderly.
• Support the teacher in various program tasks (family nights, newsletters, calls, materials).
• Serve as a temporary substitute when needed.
• Assist with children with disabilities under professional staff guidance (IEP/IFSP).
• Follow IEP/IFSP with direction from staff.
• Sanitize surfaces and store materials for safety.
• Assist in food preparation and logging meals per USDA/CACFP requirements.
• Participate in food service cleanup and inventory tasks.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
• Attend required staff and parent meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
