Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. (LSF) is seeking a Program Aide to support classroom, kitchen and bus activities and assist with children, including those with special needs, across multiple sites as needed. The role contributes to HS/EHS quality assurance and daily operations.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift within 7:30–5:30. Responsibilities include aiding staff, preparing materials, supervising meals, and participating in required trainings and family events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preference for Head Start parents.
• Completion of Florida childcare training within 12 months.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff with activities, field trips and outdoor activities.
• Help develop materials and activities reflecting cultural backgrounds.
• Supervise at mealtimes and encourage nutrition and social skills.
• Maintain clean and orderly classroom and materials.
• Support teacher in family nights, newsletters, calls, and materials.
• Serve as substitute in teacher assistant/teacher absence.
• Support children with disabilities per individual plans and IEP/IFSP.
