Job summary

Mybrightpoint is seeking a Head Start Preschool Teacher Assistant to support early learning in Allen, Indiana. This 40-hour-per-week, school-year position offers a pay rate of $18.49 per hour and emphasizes collaborative planning with the lead teacher and families to promote curiosity, independence, and problem solving.

You will help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom, assist with developmental assessments, prepare materials, and ensure compliance with Head Start standards and licensing

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain CDA certification within two (2) years of employment.
• Two years' experience working with preschool children preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must become CPR and First Aid Certified within twelve (12) months of hire.
• When driving for Brightpoint, the employee must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing classroom materials and plan learning experiences for young children.
• Support implementation of methods promoting independence, curiosity, cooperation, and problem solving.
• Work collaboratively with the Teacher, families, and staff to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure a safe, secure environment fostering self-discipline and motivation.
• Demonstrate CLASS indicators at or above required thresholds for Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, and Instructional Support.
• Assist the teacher with developmental assessments for each child.
• Prepare materials and supplies for activities in advance.
• Maintain confidentiality in day-to-day operations.
