Job summary

All Kids Academy Head Start, Inc. is seeking a Head Start Teacher Assistant to support teaching and learning in a Head Start preschool setting.

Under the direction of the Center Director and classroom Teacher, you will help implement the curriculum to meet educational, emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of children. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week over 45 weeks per year, offering competitive benefits, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and ongoing

Qualifications

• 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development courses
• 6 months of work experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education setting
• Associate Teacher Permit or higher OR enrolled to obtain within 2 years

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment
• Support implementation of developmental assessments and curriculum activities
• Prepare materials and supplies for activities in advance
• Maintain confidential assessment information and progress records
• Supervise children at all times and support positive behavior
• Support parent involvement and daily hygiene needs
