Job summary

Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse in CA
- Valid California driver’s license required
- CPR and First Aid certification for adult, child and infant required within 6 months of hire
- Equivalent combination: graduation from VN program and 1 year nursing experience
Responsibilities
- Implement health policies, procedures, and emergency/medical health care plans
- Ensure health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and licensing requirements
- Assess and refer health needs of enrolled Head Start children and expectant mothers
- Develop and disseminate health education information to teachers, parents, and children
