Job summary

UMOS is hiring a Classroom Teacher III in Plainfield, Wisconsin to lead Head Start activities and support families. The role includes scheduling home visits and conferences, conducting developmental screenings, and documenting classroom progress.

You will implement the Creative Curriculum and align with Head Start expectations while communicating regularly with families about child growth. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, with preference for bilingual applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field; 18 college credits in Early Childhood if related not required
• Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule home visits and parent/teacher conferences
• Schedule and conduct child developmental screenings and assessments
• Maintain documentation and enter classroom observations
• Develop individualized plans with parents based on assessment results
• Implement curriculum and learning environments per Head Start frameworks
• Maintain CACFP compliance and health/safety policies
• Communicate with families regarding child progress and program activities
