Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh is seeking Head Start Early Childhood Education Teachers for continuous recruitment. These teachers will support school readiness while collaborating with various stakeholders in a federally funded preschool program serving low-income families.

Each teacher will manage a classroom of 15-16 children and implement programs that focus on social/emotional development and educational progress. Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications based on their teaching designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and/or related field for 4K Teacher.
• Wisconsin Pre-Kindergarten certification #080,086,088 or 090 for 4K Teacher.
• Associate degree or higher in early childhood education or degree in related field for Non-4K Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individualized and developmental educational plans for children with stakeholders.
• Mentor new teachers and students.
• Maintain safety and well-being of children in the classroom.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on child activities.
• Plan and facilitate classroom programming based on established curriculums.
