Job summary

Acelero Learning, Inc. is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker for its Head Start/Early Head Start program in Racine, WI and Cudahy, WI. The role involves assisting in meal preparation, keeping the kitchen clean, and managing kitchen inventory and records.

Hours are approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with benefits including 401K matching and paid time off. Valid driver’s license may be required for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support daily food production, distribution, and kitchen operations between Racine and Cudahy centers.
• Assist in preparation of the assigned menu.
• Deliver food to classrooms and collect dirty dishes.
• Use sanitary washing procedures for dishes and equipment.
• Check deliveries for accuracy and quality; store food properly using FIFO.
• Monitor temperatures of food, refrigerators and freezers; maintain cleanliness.
