Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals at our Head Start centers. Maintain cleanliness, follow sanitary practices, and support housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, food handling experience, and preferred bilingual abilities in Spanish/English or other languages. Travel between centers may be required, with competitive benefits and a strong team-focused environment.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
• Two years of experience in food preparation, preferably in an Early Childhood setting.
• Bilingual Spanish/English; Russian/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English; English/Creole speaking preferred.

Mansioni

• Responsible for safe preparation and storage of all food items used at the center.
• Prepares, cooks, and serves food according to appropriate practices.
• Washes dishes and utensils according to sanitary practices; Assumes duties as housekeeper as required.
• Responsible for storing or supervising storage of all food and household supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
