Capstone Community Action seeks a Home Visitor to join the Barre/Berlin team in Vermont. You will support families as primary educators, applying preschool development knowledge and individualized services while coordinating with Head Start staff in Washington County.
Some evenings and weekends are required. The role is full-time, with a 40-hour schedule and benefits including health, dental, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
Since 1965, Capstone Community Action has supported individuals and families in Central Vermont in achieving economic and housing stability and rising out of poverty. Capstone’s early childhood education and family services are central to its mission, offering center-based and home-based Head Start and Early Head Start programs that support positive child, family, and community outcomes that use a whole-child approach and actively engage parents as partners in their children’s early learning and development.
The home visitor works with an assigned caseload of families to support parents in strengthening their skills as the primary educators of their children. Home visitors develop and apply expertise in preschool development, assessment and implementation of individualized services. The home visitor works cooperatively with other Head Start staff in the Washington County area to deliver quality services to all enrolled families and to further the mission of Head Start. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, with a 40-hour per week standard schedule and competitive pay at $19.13 – $24.80 per hour.
