Job summary

Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago seeks a Home Based Supervisor to oversee the Early Head Start home visiting program, ensuring services align with national standards. The role leads a professional team, develops partnerships, and ensures data-driven program improvements.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in ECE or related field (or AA with 5 years in home visiting), bilingual English/Spanish, and Gateways credential progress within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development; or AA with 5 years in home visiting.
• Experience with families with very young children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards.
• Must obtain Gateways Family Service credential level 5 within 6 months.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds, able to handle physical tasks.
• Familiarity with ChildPlus or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the EHS Home Based Program.
• Ensure home visiting services meet national standards.
• Review data and complete quarterly reports for funders.
• Conduct monthly home visit observations and provide feedback.
• Mentor staff and support professional development.
• Maintain Gateways registry and monitor enrollment files.
