Job summary

Prime Time Family in Natchitoches, LA is seeking a Floater Food Services Tech to support Head Start meal programs. You will assist in preparing attractive, USDA‑approved meals and maintain sanitary kitchen and classroom areas.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior knowledge of early childhood nutrition is required.
• Strong ethics in food preparation and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Serve nutritious, USDA‑approved meals considering age‑specific portions.
• Prepare and serve family‑style meals for children, staff and volunteers.
• Maintain kitchen and classroom cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Monitor temperatures and proper storage of foods and supplies.
• Record substitutions, tests and temperature logs; file reports.
• Travel regularly between four sites; assist in inventory and deliveries.
• Support the Food Services Coordinator with meal documentation and audits.
