Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency in Ewing, NJ is seeking a Floating Teacher to supervise assigned classrooms and support Head Start performance standards and state licensing requirements.

You will plan developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers, maintain records, involve parents, and collaborate with the Education Manager and Site Director to ensure child safety and program quality.

Qualifications

• Must meet NJ/PA licensing standards for Head Start.
• Infant-Toddler CDA or enroll in CDA program; AA/BA a plus.
• Must have daily access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate assigned classroom and float to support breaks.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children.
• Maintain records, prepare monthly reports, and conduct conferences.
• Support children with special needs and ensure safety procedures.
• Involve parents through activities and home-based learning.
• Assist with admin duties and training as needed.
