Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) is seeking an entry-level early childhood support staff to assist teachers within Head Start programs in Louisiana. The role focuses on creating a safe, organized learning environment and promoting healthy development for childrenBirth to Five, including dual language learners.

Required - High School Diploma or GED; CDA credential to be obtained within 6 months of employment. If working mixed classrooms, both CDAs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous early childcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher and assist with transitions to and from the classroom.
• Assist with the use of age-appropriate equipment, materials, and space for indoor and outdoor learning.
• Communicate child observations to teachers and identify potential developmental concerns.
• Coordinate with education, family, mental health, and child development staff to address identified needs.
• Support school functions, attend meetings, and participate in team decisions and operations.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of operations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
