Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge seeks a dedicated Early Childhood Assistant for Head Start in Louisiana. You will support teachers, help foster a safe, engaging classroom, and assist with developmentally appropriate activities for children from birth to age five.

Required: High School Diploma or GED and a CDA credential with plan to obtain within six months; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Prior childcare experience is preferred and you will follow program policies and family engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CDA credential required; must obtain within 6 months.
• If mixed age classrooms, both CDAs are required.
• Previous early childcare experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
• Communicate child observations to teachers.
• Assist with curricula implementation and assessments.
• Support parent and family engagement activities.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas.
