Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; or CDA credential or in a program leading to degree; or enrolled in a CDA program to complete within 2 years.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate or eligible paraprofessional certificate.
• High school diploma or GED and TABE test; fingerprint background check required; health screen prior to employment.
• Be able to obtain paraprofessional certificate issued by State Board of Educator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with materials and activities for large and small groups.
• Prepare classroom displays and assist with assessment and scoring.
• Support student supervision during school day, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
• Perform basic clerical and record-keeping duties and ensure compliance with Head Start standards.
