Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge is seeking a dedicated early childhood staff member in Louisiana. The role supports teachers in implementing curricula, promoting healthy development, and ensuring child safety in classrooms for birth to five. Experience in childcare and bilingual abilities are valued.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED, plus a CDA credential with commitment to obtain within 6 months. Strong communication in English (and Spanish preferred) is essential for family engagement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential is required and must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• If mixed classrooms, both CDAs are required.
• Employee may retake CDA course at own expense within 60 days if first attempt fails.
• If CDA not completed, employee may be separated.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher and assist with transitions.
• Support use of age-appropriate equipment and materials for learning environments.
• Communicate child observations to teachers and identify developmental interference.
• Coordinate with education, family, mental health and child development staff to address needs.
• Support school functions and team decision processes.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure safety during activities and report suspected abuse or neglect.
