Job summary

Gateway Community Action Partnership in Hammonton, NJ is seeking a Full Time Head Start caregiver/teacher to supervise a preschool classroom and ensure compliance with Head Start standards and NJ/PA licensing rules.

You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, provide infant-toddler routines, observe child progress, maintain records, and partner with parents while ensuring safety and program requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Must have Infant-Toddler CDA or enroll in Infant-Toddler CDA program; AA/BA in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
• Must meet NJ/PA licensing standards.
• Daily access to a car/transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the classroom to meet Head Start standards.
• Follow state licensing regulations and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Plan weekly curriculum-based lesson plans and submit to Site Director.
• Provide infant-toddler caregiving routines in a primary setting.
• Observe and document child growth and maintain records.
• Ensure safety, report incidents, and handle health/safety concerns.
