Job summary

Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties seeks a Head Start Education Manager at Lakes Region Family Center to lead preschool education services for infants and toddlers. The role emphasizes cognitive, social, and emotional development and supervision of preschool teachers.

Strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of Head Start/licensing are essential. Occasional travel between program locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Three years of early childhood teaching experience; supervision/management preferred.
• Knowledge of Head Start, childcare licensing, and related policies.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observe Head Start classrooms and provide feedback to teachers.
• Ensure NH licensing/Head Start requirements are met with Education Specialist.
• Model responsive, supportive adult-child interactions.
• Complete admin tasks like reporting development benchmarks and documenting curriculum.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and professional development for teachers.
