Job summary

WACOG in Arizona seeks a Head Start Education Manager to support Mohave, La Paz and Yuma counties. You will supervise staff, ensure Head Start standards, and lead classroom trainings to promote school readiness for young children and families.

Responsibilities include coaching, CLASS assessments, safety/compliance oversight, and data-driven program support. Travel within the service area and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Minimum of five years in Early Childhood Education.
• Valid Arizona Driver License and background checks.
• Current health physical and TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assess teaching staff based on established teaching principles, mentor and coach for teaching staff to achieve goals.
• Perform CLASS assessments and determine planned trainings.
• Conduct formal classroom and individual trainings as needed.
• Observe Head Start classroom operations and report on safety and compliance issues.
• Track children’s assessment outcomes and identify school readiness goals for WACOG.
