Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year)

Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) is looking for a caring and dedicated Early Head Start (EHS) Support Teacher to join our team! In this role, you’ll provide a nurturing learning environment for children from birth to three years old, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and physically. What You’ll Do: Assist in creating a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
Support early childhood development through play, structured activities, and learning centers
Promote early language, literacy, and social-emotional development
Maintain supervision and ensure child safety at all times
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including fire and emergency procedures
Observe and document child progress through assessments and records
Build strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: CDA credential (or willingness to obtain within 2 years) or higher education in early childhood development
Ability to lift and keep up with young children, including sitting on the floor or in child-sized chairs
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Reliable attendance and commitment to teamwork
