Job summary

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Education assistant to support classroom activities for 3- and 4-year-olds.

The role collaborates with the Head Start Teacher to implement programs aligned with the National Head Start Program Performance Standards. Qualified candidates may hold an AA in ECE, a CDA credential, or a HS Diploma with CDA/AA within 2 years of hire; bilingual Eng/Spanish is a plus and may add 5% to pay.

Qualifications

• AS in Early Childhood Education or CDA credential, or HS Diploma with CDA/AA within 2 years of hire.
• Background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Implement educational activities promoting school readiness for 3- and 4-year-olds.
• Assist Head Start Teacher in planning and carrying out educational activities to meet Head Start standards.
