Job summary

LLBO Early Childhood in Cass Lake, MN is seeking a dedicated classroom professional to support safety and developmental growth for children aged 0–5. You will help plan activities, assist with documentation and parent conferences, and collaborate with team members to create an inclusive, culturally respectful learning environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining classroom routines, supporting families through home visits, and ensuring compliance with Head Start standards and licensing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enroll in and attain a CDA within first year of employment.
• Valid MN driver’s license preferred; CPR and First Aid certification or within 90 days.
• Must meet Leech Lake Licensing Standards and Head Start policies.
• Ability to travel in and out of state.
• Native American preference in employment decisions.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Strong communication and data-entry skills for records and reports.
• Knowledge of development milestones for children ages 0–5.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of children and that classrooms support growth and development.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans and materials; assist with newsletters.
• Plan activities based on individual needs and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Mainstream children with special needs and implement guidance strategies.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences twice yearly and facilitate home visits.
• Coordinate transportation as needed and promote Head Start goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics; keep clean, organized classrooms.
