Job summary

Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) is seeking a seasoned education professional to support Head Start classrooms in Williams, AZ. You will help ensure high-quality programming, staff development, and compliance with program policies to improve child outcomes.

Under supervision, you will train staff, observe classrooms, develop goals, and maintain records to guide regional operations. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and CDA or equivalent certification with

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 3-5 years’ classroom experience or 5 years’ experience with a CDA or equivalent certification and the ability to earn an Advanced Degree within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to classroom staff to build and maintain high quality classrooms with strong CLASS scores and positive child outcomes.
• Conducts classroom observations to develop and implement policies and procedures as required by Performance Standards.
• Helps develop action plans for policy implementation to ensure high quality continuity of care.
• Mentors staff with high-quality classroom management strategies in line with policies.
• Interprets policies and trains Center Directors to ensure staff understanding and compliance.
• Meets with teaching staff to set training goals for professional development and improved outcomes.
• Facilitates training for classroom staff to address development needs.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports to guide administrators and field staff.
• Develops schedules for on-site visitations to ensure consistent regional communication.
