Job summary

Qualifications

• Level I requires CDA or an equivalent state-certified preschool credential.
• Level II requires an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a preschool teaching certificate.
• Level III requires a BA/BS in ECE/Child Development with relevant teaching experience.
• Level IV requires a Masters in ECE/Child Development with 36 extra credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Instructs children and facilitates developmentally appropriate activities.
• Develops and maintains relationships with children and families.
• Develops weekly lesson plans to ensure compliance.
• Assigns duties to staff and monitors learning environment.
• Completes logs and reports to document program compliance.
• Maintains clean and safe classrooms and conducts inspections.
• Performs health screenings for Head Start children.
• Plans and conducts parent-teacher conferences.
