Job summary

DeKalb Health seeks a dedicated teacher aide to support daily Head Start activities in Columbus, OH. You will assist in implementing classroom plans and promoting healthy living and youth development, while maintaining professionalism in meetings and with program partners.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff, ensuring confidentiality, and meeting Head Start requirements. A high school diploma and experience with children are required; background checks and current first aid

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Experience working with children.
• Must submit medical statement and TB test results as required by Head Start standards.
• Must complete FBI and BCI criminal background check.
• Must keep current training certifications in first aid, communicable diseases, child abuse recognition & prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing all daily program activities.
• Promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in classrooms and meetings.
• Collaborate with content areas to meet needs of children and families.
• Promote confidentiality and adhere to Head Start standards and policies.
