Job summary

MICA is seeking an ECP Program Aide in Tama, IA to support teachers and provide a safe, engaging environment for preschool children. The role requires promoting development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive areas, and encouraging parent involvement.

Candidate must meet Head Start requirements, be able to travel within the service area, and uphold confidentiality with families and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for the age group.
• AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Preference for experience with children 0-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teaching teams and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist with lesson plans and activities tailored to each child.
• Interact with children, families and staff to promote development.
• Travel to MICA Head Start counties as needed; mileage reimbursed.
• Contribute to compliance with Head Start standards and agency policies.
