Job summary

NACOG is seeking a Preschool Assistant in Springerville, AZ to support a teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities, while maintaining a safe environment and following all standards.

The role requires entry-level qualification or a CDA credential and one year of preschool experience; duties include monitoring activities, preparing materials, assisting with meals and health checks, and attending meetings.

Qualifications

• Level I: Entry level, must meet the requirements of the job descriptions, and one year of experience working with preschool children.
• Level II: CDA Level II or state certificate meeting CDA requirements, and one year of experience working with preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document classroom activities
• Assist with transitions between activities
• Help prepare lesson plans and data entry
• Assist with meals, cleanup, and toothbrushing
• Participate in recruitment of eligible children and families
• Assist with parent teaching and home visits
• Perform data entry and filing
• Attend and participate in meetings
• Perform safety checks in the classroom
• Greet incoming families and perform health checks
• Other related duties as assigned
