Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska is seeking a Center Assistant for the Head Start program in McCook. The role provides essential support to staff and children during daily activities.

The schedule is 20 hours per week across 37 weeks per year, with hours typically 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The starting pay is $15.78 per hour, reflecting Head Start wage guidelines and local market conditions.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required (GED candidates considered)
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Model professional behavior in all interactions
• Prior experience working with children is preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assist in classroom as needed by implementing daily lesson plans
• Assist with meal and snack distribution and cleanup
• Help ensure classroom inventories are stocked
• Support oral health practices as needed and promote hygiene
• Assist with general housekeeping of the center
• Be actively engaged in Head Start activities and model appropriate behavior
