Job summary

Commission On Economic Opportunity is seeking an Assistant Center Manager in Troy, NY to help oversee daily operations of the Head Start center and supervise staff, ensuring compliance with licensing and program standards.

Qualifications

• AAS in Early Childhood or a related field or CPAC Credential is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of daycare licensing regulations and associated standards.
• Prior supervisory or program management experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing day-to-day operations of the assigned location.
• Enforce all ECS policies, procedures, and regulations related to Head Start standards.
• Supervise assigned staff and support all center staff in compliance with policies.
• Orient new staff and provide daily support, observations, and monitoring of classrooms.
• Promote community partnerships and parent involvement activities.
