Fairbanks-Native-Association is seeking an Education Manager - ECE to oversee day-to-day administration of center-based classrooms, ensuring program management, supervision, training, and regulatory compliance in a Head Start setting.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards and Alaska childcare licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, mentor, coach, and supervise classroom staff and provide program orientations and training on HS standards.
  • Evaluate team performance and coordinate ongoing professional development.
  • Establish staffing patterns, schedules, and manage leave requests for proper coverage.
  • Ensure procedures for opening/closing the site are followed.
  • Coordinate substitute utilization and daily staffing adjustments.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution in day-to-day center operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start standards and Alaska licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to plan, evaluate, and develop programs and budgets.
  • Monitor lesson plans and behavioral observations to meet child needs.
