Job summary

Community Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Center Aide for our Head Start classroom in Farmington, Maine.

This 20-hour-per-week role supports a lead teacher as part of a teaching team, with scheduling of 38 weeks per year (up to 50 weeks as needed). Starting pay ranges from $15.96 to $16.71 per hour, with eligibility for state supplements and a strong benefits package including paid time off, holidays, a 403(b) plan with agency match, and PSLF eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with young children is required.
• Coursework or completion of Substitute Teacher Training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teaching team and contribute to high-quality preschool programming.
• Aide in planning activities and tailoring curriculum to meet children’s development.
• Sharing the responsibility for proper care and cleanliness of the classroom and center.
