Job summary

Community Concepts is seeking multiple experienced Lead Preschool Teachers for Head Start classrooms at the Chisholm Early Learning Center in Rumford, Maine. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly and 38 weeks per year, with potential up to 50 hours as needed.

Starting pay range is determined by education and experience, with benefits including health/dental/vision, 403(b) with agency match, paid time off, holidays, and a state wage supplement program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field; Bachelor's preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities and tailor curriculum

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-quality preschool classroom team
• Plan activities and tailor curriculum to support social, emotional, physical, literacy and cognitive development
• Communicate with and support families to meet children’s and families’ needs
• Collaborate with management to maintain Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements
