Job summary

CAPSLO is seeking a term-limited Bus Driver responsible for the safe transportation of Head Start and Migrant/Seasonal Head Start children. You will pick up and deliver children as scheduled, complete daily sign-in sheets, and ensure the bus is maintained and ready for service.

The role requires a California CDL (Class A or B with Endorsements P & S), DL-45 Type I/II, TO1 Card, a current DMV H-6, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CA CDL with Endorsements P & S.
• DL-45 Type I or II certificate required.
• TO1 Card necessary for service.
• Current DMV H-6 form with good driving record.
• Medical Examiner Certificate DL51A must be current.
• Pediatric first aid and CPR training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver children as scheduled.
• Complete and submit daily sign-in/sign-out sheets and roster sheets.
• Submit timely reports, including attendance, mileage, accidents, and fuel receipts.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure safety measures.
• Maintain the bus in safe, operable condition at all times.
• Operate the bus in compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Support CAPSLO's mission by ensuring safe transportation for all participants.

Responsible for safe transportation of Head Start and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start children. Must submit timely reports and be responsible for bus maintenance and regular safety checks. Supports CAPSLO’s mission by ensuring safe transportation for Head Start, Early Head Start, and Migrant & Season Head Start participants.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid California Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B with Endorsements P & S).
• DL-45 Special Certificate (Type I or Type II).
• TO1 Card.
• Current DMV printout (original H-6 form) with a good driving record.
• Medical Examiner Certificate DL51A form.
• Certificates of completion for pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training (within 30 days of hire).

As a Bus Driver you will:

• Pick up and deliver children as scheduled.
• Complete and submit daily sign-in/sign-out sheets and roster sheets.
• Submit timely reports, including children's attendance, mileage, accident reports, and fuel receipts.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
