We are seeking a caring, dependable Head Start Behavioral Aide to support our Head Start preschool classrooms. This position works alongside teachers to provide additional classroom support, promote positive behavior and social-emotional development, assist with transitions and daily routines, and help maintain safe supervision and appropriate child-to-staff ratios.

What You’ll Do
  • Support teachers and children during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and daily routines.
  • Provide active supervision and help maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios.
  • Build positive, caring relationships with preschool-aged children.
  • Help children develop self-regulation, social-emotional skills, independence, and positive behaviors.
  • Use Conscious Discipline and other developmentally appropriate strategies to support children through challenging moments.
  • Provide additional support to children who may need help with behavior, regulation, transitions, or classroom participation.
  • Help create and maintain a safe, organized, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, Head Start staff, school personnel, and families.
  • Participate in required Head Start training and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
