Job summary

Keystone Human Services through Capital Area Head Start is seeking Associate Teachers to join our mission of making a difference in the lives of children, empowering families, and strengthening communities.

As a Head Start Associate Teacher, you will collaborate with our inclusive education and support teams to develop and implement lesson plans, engage families, ensure health and safety, and maintain positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDA credential or ability to obtain within two years of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web-based systems.
• Willingness to travel to home visits, training, and other locations.
• Successful completion of pre-employment process and clearances.
• Experience in Head Start or Early Head Start is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans as part of a curriculum-based program.
• Collaborate with inclusive education and support teams.
• Engage families and build community partnerships to support child development.
• Assure health and safety of children and maintain positive outcomes.
