The following position is open for the Rock Island/Milan School District #41 – Head Start Preschool Program.

Preschool Assistant Teacher – Head Start Preschool Program
Assist the Head Start teacher with planning, scheduling, and implementing a developmentally appropriate experience for preschool children, focusing on positive and engaging interactions according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Salary Information:
The salary range is approximately $18.63 - $28.25 per hour, according to education and experience placement on the Assistant Teacher Salary Schedule.

Qualifications:
· An associate's degree in Child Development is preferred
· High School Diploma or equivalency certificate withChild Development Associate (CDA) credential in progress

Work Schedule:
This position will work 7 hours per day on all regularly scheduled work days according to the Teacher/Assistant Teacher schedule (180 days).
