Job summary

North Central West Virginia Community Action Association is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support classroom activities and implement program areas under the guidance of the Teacher.

The role involves assisting in daily classroom operations, supporting student needs, and helping maintain a safe learning environment. Training and credentials may be completed within two years as per program requirements.

Job description

Community Collaborative Classroom (CCC) Assistant Teacher or Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting in implementation of service areas as outlined in the Program Policies and Prodcedures under the guidance of the Teacher.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, carry, or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds.

Licenses/Training/Certifications

An agreement must be signed to complete one of the above credentials within 2 years.
