Job summary

WPI is seeking a Head Coach of Baseball and WPE Instructor to lead the program, teach wellness and physical education courses, and oversee departmental operations. The role emphasizes student-athlete development, compliance, and community engagement within the PERA division.

The incumbent will recruit, mentor, and coach student-athletes, coordinate with the PERA leadership, and manage program logistics, travel, and fundraising as part of a comprehensive athletic experience at WPI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of collegiate coaching experience.
• Salary Grade 7: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience) Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the baseball program while ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and with NEWMAC and WPI policies.
• Develop team and individual strategies within an environment of success through teaching physical, mental, and emotional skills for student-athlete performance.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes committed to academic and athletic excellence and build relationships with clubs and schools nationwide.
