Job summary

University of Maine at Fort Kent is seeking a Head Softball Coach to oversee the day-to-day operations of the intercollegiate softball program. The coach will recruit student-athletes as permitted by USCAA rules, develop on-field coaching, and manage practices and travel with frequent travel and evening/weekend work.

The position includes mentorship from the Athletic Director, potential department-wide duties, and responsibilities that align with program needs.

Qualifications

• Prior related coaching experience.
• Knowledge of softball rules and statistics.
• Familiarity with NCAA/NAIA/USCAA standards and procedures.
• Ability to work with diverse people, maintain organization and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaches intercollegiate softball.
• Collaborates with Admissions and Recruiting in student-athlete recruitment.
• Plans practices, travel, and competitions within budget.
