Beatrice Public Schools is seeking a Head Softball Coach for Beatrice High School for the upcoming season. The role focuses on building an athletic culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth while developing a competitive softball program.

The coach will lead practices, manage logistics, and foster strong communication with students, parents, staff, and the community. Prior high school or comparable level coaching experience is preferred and state certifications may be required.

Competenze

• Preference for high school, collegiate, or competitive club coaching experience.
• Solid knowledge of softball rules and player development.
• Coaching credentials/certifications as required by the state athletic association (or ability to obtain).
• First Aid/CPR Certification and required safety training (Concussion Awareness).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, structure, and manage all aspects of the softball program.
• Plan and conduct effective daily practices focusing on player skill development, game strategy, and conditioning.
• Promote high academic standards, sportsmanship, and character development among student-athletes.
• Oversee team logistics, equipment inventory, facility setup, and game-day preparations.
• Establish clear communication with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or competitive club level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of softball rules, strategy, fundamental skill execution, and player development.
• Valid coaching credentials/certifications as required by the state athletic association (or ability to obtain).
• First Aid/CPR Certification and required safety training (Concussion Awarness)
