Job summary

Twin Falls High School is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach to support the head coach in developing student-athletes and building a competitive program on evenings and weekends.

You will help plan practices, provide feedback, and contribute to game plans while upholding school policies and promoting a positive team culture for our athletes.

• Attend all practices, games, and coaching meetings.
• Uphold school policies regarding student-athlete conduct and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions, ensuring that drills are effective and engaging.
• Provide instruction and feedback to student-athletes to improve their individual and team performance.
• Help develop game strategies and assist in the preparation of game plans.
• Support the retention of student-athletes for the softball program.
• Monitor the academic progress and personal development of players, ensuring they maintain eligibility standards.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.
• Assist in organizing team events, including fundraisers, community service activities, and team‑building exercises.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff and athletic department personnel to enhance the overall athletic experience for student-athletes.

Requirements

• Previous experience playing or coaching softball at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to students and parents.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best both on and off the field.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.
• A commitment to the values of education‑based athletics and the overall mission of Twin Falls High School.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the softball season.
• Background Check required

All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug‑free workplace pre‑employment screening.
