Job summary

Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking a Head Soccer Coach to lead the varsity program, develop players, and promote sportsmanship and academic success.

The coach will plan practices, coordinate tryouts, monitor academic progress, and build relationships with feeder schools to grow participation across IPS.

The role reports to the Athletics Director and requires strong organizational skills, a high work ethic, and the ability to engage families and the community through events and social media.

Responsibilities

• Follow IPS/IHSAA rules and guidelines for soccer.
• Instruct and demonstrate skill development for individuals and the team.
• Plan, organize, advertise, and conduct tryouts with clear communication of selections.
• Develop training programs and practice schedules.
• Assess each student-athlete's strengths and place them for team success.
• Facilitate opportunities for post-secondary play and academic progress.
• Engage with students, staff, families, and officials professionally; resolve conflicts.
